This is me with DSS customer Susan Speiran (now Adams). It was taken shortly after we both had won the 1998 Alberta Championships at the track in Calgary. The sunlight at our backs hides a bit of the glare from her suit, although mine seems to be standing out in full grandeur. Until a rule change made them illegal, I used to wear booties made of the same bright purple Lycra used on Susan's suit - DSS customer Jürg Geiser of the Swiss team told me I was going to get disqualified for being too erotic. As though that's ever going to happen. As a matter of fact, the orange suit was also later made illegal by a rule change. Obviously, the powers that be are trying to stifle my self-expression.
