As you can see, the 1984 Olympic bobsled track in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) is in rather poor condition. The holes in the track were put there by riflemen through which they could stick their guns while remaining hidden. From what I understand, parts of the track have been completely blown up. The track hosted the 1985 and 1987 European Championships, and Yugoslav skeleton athletes competed in international races until 1991. The photo came from Richard Hurtado's web site, although I can't find where that particular page is anymore.
